In keeping with tradition, South Louisiana Electric Cooperative Association (SLECA) has awarded 4 students $1,000 each to help defray their college expenses. SLECA congratulates all graduates.
- Brian Blanchard is a resident of Terrebonne Parish and a 2024 graduate of H.L. Bourgeois High School. He participates in the BETA club, National Honor Society, science club, Quiz Bowl, Band Bowling, and tennis. He won many academic awards through high school and is a Terrebone Foundation for Academic Excellence scholar. He volunteers at elementary schools for different holiday bazaars and literacy nights, trunk-or-treats, and Toys for Tots. He was also named his school’s student of the year. Brian plans to attend Nicholls State University and major in chemistry.
- Mya Boss is a resident of Terrebonne Parish and a 2024 graduate of Vandebilt Catholic High School. She is the president of the National Honor Society and participates in Green Team, Quiz Bowl, Vision 153, St. Eloi Youth Group, and LAG Travel Volleyball Club. She plans to major in biochemistry.
- Amanda Bourgeois is a resident of Terrebonne Parish and a 2024 graduate of Terrebonne High School. She participates in varsity soccer, varsity volleyball, National Honor Society, Campus of Christ, BETA Club, and student council, and she volunteers at St. Matthews Episcopal Church. She plans to attend Tulane University and major in history, and she wants to pursue a law degree afterward.
- Claire Aucoin is a resident of Terrebonne Parish and a 2024 graduate of E.D. White Catholic High School. She participates in varsity soccer, competitive soccer, Louisiana Honor Band, piano, Cardinal music, music ministry, Sisters in Christ, Right to Life Club, student council, and National Honor Society, and she volunteers at Good Samaritan Food Bank. She plans to attend Louisiana State University in the fall and major in chemistry.
